COVID-19 Resources During Difficult Times

Noveled Leather COVID-19 resource list

It’s been an unprecedented time we’re all immersed in, but no greater time to convey a message of togetherness from humanity.

Many families and small businesses affected by these unfortunate turn of events do our best to keep moving forward. My heart goes out to all of us affected by COVID-19, our doctors, nurses, grocery workers and those in transport. I watch my husband leave for work each day and I pray for his safe arrival home, they all deserve medals; brave warriors on the front line.

I’ve put together a resource list to help during this time of confinement.

Scribd is offering free access to audio books. If you have a library card you can use Hoopla for free to checkout 20 books a month also.

For help finding food banks in your area visit Feeding America.

Kids can listen to these books from audible free using a desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Film - Netflix movie ‘Justine’ follows a grief-stricken single mom who is forced to move in with her father-in-law after the death of her husband. She takes a job as a caretaker to Justine, a young girl with spina bifida who’s healing power ends up uniting her racist household to an unlikely family.
My husband and I watched it and it's brilliant!

As this invisible threat challenges us, there are many things we can do within our control for the greater good of all, including ourselves. Self quarantine is necessary to help with our efforts to contain a war we cannot see with the naked eye. Besides cleaning and washing our hands. The good is news is that together we can stifle its grip and come out on the other side. We in this together.

Please be safe and practice small acts of kindness. If’s there’s two bottles of ketchup left, grab one someone who really needs the other will thank you through the Universe. Know there is enough toilet paper, if we run out many of us have showers so we’re in a better position than most. And more importantly nestle with loves ones.

Please contact me if there's anything you need. We’re in this together.

Best regards,

What Masks Say About Humanity

July 31, 2020

I guess I’m just confused as to why wearing a mask has to be told. After all, it’s just common courtesy in conjunction with life saving aspects. But instead of hope, masks are being turned into a symbol of open defiance and opposition to wearing them, doused in statesmanship.

The Toll of Social Media and How We Fight Back - There Is Enough

January 30, 2020

The nastiness of social media sent me crashing into the arms of blogging. Serendipity via a blog post landed me here; home. From behind a self-imposed exile the comfort blogging offers is a birdseye view in tandem with wings soaring high into the sunset - a chance to speak and nourish without being doused in tomato splatter.
